Churches
Your church can make an impact and expand your ministry outreach by hosting, sponsoring, or volunteering at a Street 2 Street tournament. Remaining relevant in a changing community is an ongoing challenge for many ministries, and our events are designed to reach kids who would never give church a thought, introduce them to the truth of God’s Word, and then connect them with their local church where they can be discipled and transformed into leaders.

Tournament Hosting
For churches in metropolitan areas with underprivileged kids, a Street 2 Street tournament provides an incredible platform to engage your community. Hosting a tournament involves providing the facilities for the event, staff and volunteers willing to attend a training session and help run the tournament, and—most importantly—committed believers who will serve as friends and mentors to young men following the event. If you have a true burden for the kids in your community, Street 2 Street’s veteran team can provide you with the training, the resources and a plan to reach them.

Tournament Sponsorship
Your church can make a tremendous missionary impact by sponsoring a Street 2 Street tournament. Every event offers an incredibly effective opportunity for you to express God’s love to disadvantaged kids … in a tangible way they will remember forever. Our events are not “pick-up” games—kids play basketball every day, and they don’t need us for that. Street 2 Street provides kids with a professional-quality tournament and the experience of being treated as a true champion—as an athlete and as an individual—and it’s unlike anything they’ve ever experienced.
It’s important to understand that many of our inner-city church hosts don’t have the resources to cover the full costs of a tournament. By sponsoring a tournament for $7,500, your church can be the key that opens a unique door of opportunity for youth you’ve been untouched with the gospel. Your sponsorship helps to provide customized jerseys, backpacks, referees, trophies, permit fees, meals for players, staff and volunteers, other sports gear and equipment.
Most tournaments have 60+ participants and we often see 40-50% of the kids make spiritual decisions. After your tournament, we will personally follow up with you to report on the impact.

Volunteering
Conducting a championship caliber tournament requires a lot of people. Your church can send a team of volunteers to a Street 2 Street tournament to help. We need volunteers to help with everything from meal distribution to cheering for teams. Many of our volunteers find that the experience changes them as much as it changes the kids playing … and it is an experience that will open your eyes to the real-world, gritty hardships many of these young men face living in the inner cities.
